Patten Pear Tree
Very good fresh eating with sweet “high flavor.” Oblong greenish- yellow with a red blush. Vaguely reminiscent of Bosc in size and shape. Fine-grained soft flesh has minimal grit cells. Good canning pear. Tree is extremely adaptable, growing all over the Northeast. Extremely hardy and highly recommended for coldest districts. A good pollinator for other varieties. Scab resistant. Will come 3-6' bare root.
